Story:
Srinivas acharya(Resident of Kallur), was a great devotee of Sri Kolhapur Mahalakshmi. Every year he visited Kolhapur during Navarathri time(8th day) and he offered Sandalwood(chandan) to Goddess Mahalaksmi. But due to his Age, He was not able to travel a long. He was so saddened as he was not able to visit Goddess as before. One day on his dreams, He got a strange dream. He heard the voice saying “I will come to see you in Navarathri”. Next day while srinivas acharya was performing his daily duties, He was recollecting the dream and was stunned on the words “I will come to see you in Navarathri”. Days passed by. Navarathri came. Srinivas acharya was grinding chandan.
The smooth grinding stone was hard at places. he did not pay too much attention but continued the grinding process to collect more chandan. Further he noticed that the roughness was becoming more and more. He took the chandan in a bowl and cleaned the stone. To his surprise He saw smiling face of goddess mahalaxmi was looking at him. The carved form of Goddess has actually caused roughness. Tears of joy filled his eyes. Kallur then attained the status of Karveerpura(Kolhapur). Goddess Mahalakshmi resides there. An year latter Venkateshwara swamy idol was found and installed along with Mahalakshmi
The pure bhakthi and dedication of Sri Srinivasa acharya brought mahalakshmi to his place. Miracles were happened, is happening and will happen!!! Jai sri Lakshmi Mathe!!!
Sri Vyasarajathirtharu [Vyasarayaru] used to meditate everyday on the banks of River Tungabhadra. One day, while he was meditating He visualized an Image of Lord Hanuman. This happened only at that particular place and nowhere else. So next time, he drew that image of Hanumaan on a rock. To his surprise, a monkey came to life from the rock and jumped out of the rock and his drawing disappeared. This happened 12 times. Every time a monkey would come alive, jump out and his drawing would disappear. Finally he drew a Yantra around the picture so that the monkey will not go out of the rock. Please see the featured Image. He bound the Lord Hanumaan inside the Yantra. Here the Lord Hanumaan is in sitting position inside the Yantra. This is the place where he wrote the famous Yanthroddharaka Hanuman sthothram.
Location:
This temple is located at Hampi, Karnataka. Just behind the Kodandarama Temple you can spot this shrine on top of the small hill.

Story:
This is a Vratha available in Skanda Purana
Once there lived a king whose son(the Prince) dead prematurely. The King was getting his son married in a grand manner. Still he decides to get dead son married by announcing rewards for those who come forward to give their daughter to this dead son.
A poor Brahmin comes forward to marry his daughter to the dead prince. The wedding was celebrated . That was a Amavasya Day. After the marriage celebration was over, the dead prince’s body was brought near Bhageerathi River for final rites. As the people were preparing the pyre, thunder and lightening strikes along with heavy rains. The people panicked and ran back to their homes leaving the dead body and the innocent girl there itself.
The girl remembered that it was the day of Jyothirbheemeshwari vrata, which her mother made her perform without fail every year. She took bath in the river and molded two lamps and rolled out fiber of a plant to form the wick for the lamps. She poured water into the lamps and did bhandara with Mud as there was no rice/wheat .
Shiva & Parvathi were the silent spectators for all her activities and were pleased with her devotion and blessed her.
She finished her pooja with whatever is available at that place.
As she finished her pooja Rudradevaru and Parvathi Deviyaru appeared before her. Lord Shiva broke the mud balls / bandara and asked her to ask for a boon. She requested them to bring her husband back to life, which was granted. The people next day were happy and surprised to see the prince alive and they took the two back in a procession and they lived happily ever after.
Thus the Vratha became more popular after this incident.
Next day:
Dissolve the Kalikambas in water or Place the kalikambas in Tulsi pot
