Shadaananam Kumkuma-rakta-varnam
Mahaamayam Divya-mayoora-vahanam
Rudrasya Soonam Sura-sainya-natham
Guham Sadaa Sharanam-aham Prapadye

Meaning: I seek Sharan (refuge) in Guha (one who resides in the cave of the heart; another name for Subramanya), Who has 6 faces, Who adorns the color of Kumkum or Blood (red), one Who is a great warrior (?), one Whose vahana is the divine peacock, one Who is Rudra’s (Shiva’s) son, one Who is the leader of the army of devas.
